Farewell

We just spent our last night in our house. It's interesting when your whole life feels like it's in an upheaval. It has helped us separate. It's nice, I guess. Dallas and I sat on our porch last night to watch the stars and our street go to sleep. To say that we'll miss this place is a tragic understatement. I know we didn't structurally build our house, but we definitely built our home. It was here that I told Dallas I was pregnant, came home after we were sealed in the temple, brought our sweet William home from the hospital, and learned everything we could about remodelling/renovations. I have spent the last few days carefully committing it to memory. I hope that in the next life, our memories will be sharp. For now, I'll just share some of my favorite "house pictures".

Just a sidenote: Look how short Austin's hair is!!!!

It's sad to leave! I love the pictures. I remember your house drama and me thinking, "I will never remodel anything as long as I live." You are my constant inspiration, and I'm so glad you recognized that picture of us on our board. You're my FAVE!

Holy Cow! You really did some serious remodeling especially when I look at the holes in the ceiling? Was that a ceiling to the house? Good luck in all that you do, especially starting school.

Tugging at the heart strings over here. I seriously got teary-eyed reading this post. You guys did a great job! We've gone through this too, and I can totally relate. When you remodel a home you become personally attached on a different level. I still drive by it, and talk to the new owners to check in on it. I know, I am crazy.

Your house makes me sad now and I'm vowing never to look at it again. Or at least when I don't purposely drive by it making sure you aren't just "pretending" to have moved. *SIGH*
