In just three short days, one of my favorite things of the year is going to take place: AMC's Fearfest! One week before Halloween, AMC plays non-stop scary movies. I get my fill of vampires, serial killers, and spooks. Ever since I was a little girl I loved to "scare myself". My neighborhood friends Kristen Stock, Wendy Wilson, and whomever else decided to join us, would lock ourselves in a dark room with a mirror and murmur "bloody Mary" three times to see what would happen. I'm not sure if we ever actually made it to the third time before we would start screaming and frantically flip on the light. The Scary Stories series were my favorite books to check out of the school library, and I was a witch or "Vampira" (Dracula's wife) nearly every single year for Halloween. Something about that adrenaline rush just gets me excited! So, in 3 days I will be cuddled up on my couch with a blanket (and hopefully my Hubby) to watch some innocent people make stupid mistakes and get nearly killed by a creepy serial killer... and my Hubby will start walking around like Michael Myers to freak me out.

Scary! I hate Halloween as I hate all scary things. I get the shivers and feel all dark and twisty. :) But let's be honest--is SH really a "fright"? I am excited to pick our next book! When??

I happen to be much like Kalie. I am NOT a fan of scary movies. I sit there and think about them all night long and don't sleep one wink. It's just annoying enough that I steer clear of them.
However, I LOVE that picture of Will. It is fabulous!!!
I have to say that I HATE getting scared. Now, Steve won't let me watch anything scary because I wake him up all night. I much prefer the Disney movies to anything scary. I'm a wuss I know! I remember watching the movie 'Withces' at your house and being scared out of my mind...granted I was like 8 but still!

oh geeez! Those were the days! I love scary movies too. As I have gotten older though I tend to just laugh at those stupid mistakes the girls make in them.
I love Halloween!! Seriously, we go all out, and I love scaring the kids. in fact we are the "scary" house in the neighborhood, and not for any bad reasons! LOL.
The sad thing is, I have dulled my senses to the point that nothing scares me any more...except if it onvolves my children, you know. Anyway. I love Halloween.

Was there a person who didn't play Bloody Mary when they were a kid? Awesome. Halloween is my favorite too, that is why we are such good friends!

you sound just like me ha ha...I love scary movies...esp when I was growing up. Toy and I would stay up all the time watching scary movies. I wish I were home to celebrate this fun holiday...but alas I'm still in China...only about 6 more weeks to go. I sure miss you.
