Sunday Walks, Sunday Talks

I love Sundays.  After I "grew up" and got over the fact that I couldn't run around like a maniac playing with my friends on Sundays, I loved the peace and quiet of a Sunday afternoon.

Last Sunday we went for a walk with my family after dinner at the Jensen Nature Park by my parents house in Syracuse.  It was perfect.  Spring is coming, and we can't wait.

I've given up.  Sometimes Annie wears pajamas outside of the house when it isn't bed time.  It's just the way it is.

Shiver Me Timbers!

X is for "X Marks the Spot".  Did you know?
These scallywags followed the map to all 6 treasures without the help of Captain Hook!  They found not only buried treasure, but sun kissed cheeks and chipper spirits.
 Yo ho, let's go!!!

Sometimes...

When you become a parent, it's a really good idea to let your kids do things that you always wanted to do, but were never allowed to do.

The last year in the twenties.

We celebrated Dallas' 29th birthday last Friday.  I think 29 is young, but Dallas is having an I-can't-believe-I'm-almost-thirty-I'm-getting-so-old moment.  He did admit that he'd rather be thirty than twenty again, so he's not totally in denial or in the pits of depression.  That's a good thing.

We partied his way- at home.  No people.  No plans.  Just our family of four plus one dog, some incredible Alfredo made by yours truly, an early bedtime for the kids and a movie for the grown ups.  Although I would prefer a little more fanfare than this, I will admit it was nice to sit around after a pretty crazy week.

Dallas' sister Sierra and brother-in-law Seth showed up on Saturday to deliver some goods (beds for the kids and a table for the preschool I'm opening up next fall), so we went to Grandma Kaiserman's to blow out some birthday candles.

I love this man.  He is positively the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.

The things they say....

 Annie:
"Mom, can you take the lid off my Oreo?"
In a frightened voice while we were in the car the other night during the full moon, she exclaimed, "Mom!  The moon is chasing us!!!"
Will:
First off- yes, I'm aware that my son has a giant oil spill stain down the front of his shirt.  In spite of my best efforts to convince him otherwise, he still insists on wearing this shirt several times a week.  It may end up "lost" soon.

It was pajama day at preschool.  I came out of my room in some pink pajamas that I haven't worn since I had Annie in the hospital.  Will looks at me all cockeyed and says, "Mom, what are you wearing?"
"Pajamas," I say, all matter-of-factly.
"Huh.  Why don't you just wear your white pajamas?" he replies.
Hmmmmmmmm..........  I think I may be wearing these pink pajamas more often....
